Darkness Prevails....

There was ice on the water trough this morning and eventually the temperature reached the mid 30s.

At 10 we had this big old dumpster delivered as we are getting ready to clean house....
and Gary's barn....along with disposing of shingles from the roof over the back porch and
those that will be torn off Gary's barn.  The odds are pretty good that we will have enough
crapola to fill it.
Finn and Coop were kind enough to give us some time this afternoon
so we got a good start.

When they were done I made them some hot chocolate.
I started dinner and went out to do chores at 5.
By then it was pretty dark.
Some frigid weather is on the way so I washed the heavy Rambos for
Berlin and the Rebel.

Obviously there was a lot of rolling going on today.

Got them all tucked in and by then it was pitch black outside.
 Dinner was great.
Mixed greens with pears, raisins, crumbly blu and candied walnuts....
 roasted potatoes...
 fried peppers and leeks...
on top of grilled Italian Sausage patties.
I must say, now that campaign season is over, I have a lot more time for myself and our family.
Night all.

I would love to get a huge dumpster like that to dump all the scrap metal my husband has collected over the years. One huge haul would be better than hauling it little by little myself.
Sounds like a lot of work. And our temps were cold last week, 45 on Saturday, and will be 6 tonight.
