At Home On the Range...

A very beautiful morning and the weather stayed that way all day.  Chores with Lorrie and Karen go quickly and we were all doing our thing by 9am.  Berlin and Abbe chowed, Moon worked....Maggie and Angel spent some time in the outdoor arena.

From there, they cased out the big pasture.  Whoopeeee!

Karen said that her girls have really bonded and Maggie has never been so relaxed.
Must be that good energy at the farm.
Gary and I had a 9am meeting in Brockport and mowed the lawn when we got home.  I even did the lane.  By late afternoon we were waiting for our guests...Gary fell asleep and woke up when they drove in the driveway.
10 minutes before that, Lorrie took Karen for a drive in the woods.
Sara and Saint Tim....kayak and all.
Before too long, Moon brought her passengers back home and we took some pictures.  Sara has quite the camera.

Abbe and Berlin were tuned in to all the activity.

We went out on the back porch for some snacks....hot pepper jelly on extra sharp cheddar cheese with crackers, grapes, apricots, pears, red pepper hummus and drinks.
 Then I started on dinner.

 Two pizzas comin' up.

Sally and Judy are really going to like this Kentucky bourban.

Jenny made it up to meet Karen's horses, who were back out in the big pasture.
They are looking so good now and will put their weight back on (that was lost during the 36 hours spent on the trailer...I thought it was 27)....yuck.
Jenny brought up wine and snacks along with her double folding chair, and she and Karen sat out in the pasture just watching the girls.  So peaceful.

How about that Angel?  She is really making a comeback.

These two are very comfortable in a barn.
 Chores.

All tucked in for the night.

When I went back to the house, Gary was trying to kayak in the driveway.
 It was rough going....
 Tim found it very interesting.

About these pizzas.....
Homemade sauce, peppers and onions from the garden, mushrooms and a small section with pepperoni.  I loaded them up and let them sit while I did chores.

Sara and Tim brought these tomatoes from their garden.  They are so big I could hardly lift the box!  We had one in our salad tonight.
Can you believe how puffy the pizza got?

Jenny and Karen agreed to join us for dinner....we had plenty and they were happy.
Thanks to Saint Tim's impeccable taste, we all had Ranch Dressing on our salads.
(and it tasted great)

By then we were stuffed, but could not resist Auntie Reg's carrot cup cakes that she sent up from Kentucky in celebration of all our birthdays!  What a woman!
We are all tired.
Night all.

I've said it before Lori, but you do know how to eat well your side of the pond.

Oh my gosh I have said it before but you have the best meals !!
Glad Angel bounced back well.
I have been driving my two mares every day now that it is cooler. Would love to get a meadow brook cart for my modern shetland , such a pretty cart.
