Topper took this picture last night and it was waiting for me this morning. Ariana and Carol look pretty happy to me!
Grey and chilly...kids stayed at Jenny's last night so we got off to a quiet start. Ring! Ring!A call from Sweden Hill Road. How about if we come up and go riding this afternoon? The crew arrived around 1:30 ready for some action.
We started out in the grooming room with Pony and Target. Masterpiece wanted to put his two cents in, so did Joe.
Maybe he was trying to tell us something. Just 30 years old, and still full of beans.

And so the riding began. First, Ariana on Pony....bareback. Pony has been on vacation for over a year, but she is one sweetheart.
Daniela and Finn were waiting for their turn.
There's that light again.

Finn has always loved his Mom's horse, Target (who is a 16'3 thoroughbred-age 26). This morning while he was in the grooming room he was being a jerk! Rude even. Winnie (who is in a strong heat) would not stop screaming and running by the barn. Jenny did not know what to expect when she got on him...ironically, after a few minutes he mellowed out. He had not been ridden since late last fall.

Finn must feel like he is on the top step of a ladder. Cooper did not participate today, as he was very busy in the house with Grampa. Finn, Ariana and Daniela all rode Pony and Target.
My battery was running out of gas, so I got a lot of fuzzy pictures.
Ariana and Daniela are back with their cousins for the night. Gary and I went out for a quick bite and are now crashing at home. Before chores we unloaded a trailer full of sawdust that Trina and Darrin were kind enough to pick up. I'm just plain tired tonight.
