Sunflowers

Still cool and gorgeous.

In the 40s this morning.

The return of the stink eye!!!

Our sunflowers are going crazy....so many bees!

This morning Gary went down to Jen's to work on the patio.  Looks good!
While he was gone, our friend Al stopped up with some wood scraps from his bird carving class and I sent him home with tomatoes and garlic.
Made a trip to Wegmans and got a few things, then
Little Wonder and I did a little crashing this afternoon.
Giant salads for dinner tonight.  Grilled chicken, pears, apples, craisins, walnuts and Feta cheese.
I have been doing chores earlier lately.

Buddy and Rebel don't care....they end up in the pastures anyway.

This sunflower is over 7 feet tall and is so heavy it fell over.  Now it is tied to two of the porch posts.

Night all.

Wow, that stunning gold colour. I read a while ago that young plants do turn to the sun, mature ones do not.

LW has a well practiced stink eye! I planted sunflower seeds this year but they were old and didn't germinate. That color is beautiful.

We have often driven by fields of sunflowers - such as mass of gold.
