A little hotter, muggier and the air quality was similar to yesterday.
I thought Little Wonder was going to refuse going out to the barn this morning, but he changed his mind. By 8am I was on my second load of wash and ready to head out.
Buddy was in Rebel's stall looking out the window,
and Rebel was looking for me from Buddy's stall.
It doesn't take me much more than 35 minutes to do chores these days.
I finished the laundry and remade the bed, then did a few more things around the house before meeting a couple of friends for lunch. Have not seen Helen or Shamra in ages and we talked for at least 2 hours! On the way home I stopped at Wegmans and got 4 big bags of groceries! I better be set for awhile.
When I got back to the farm I made three quarts of bean salad. Now, just have to make chicken salad and pasta salad so our guests can eat whatever they want for lunch.
Jenny is on the Morgan Manning Board, and tonight a fundraiser was being held at Barber's with some of the proceeds going to the house. It was co sponsored by the Lions Club. Nice parents that we are, we went down to show support. Neither of us were hungry, but we bought drinks and raffle tickets.
The place was packed inside and out with at least an hour wait for food.
Jenny and Jenny each ordered a Balboa.
Gary could not resist handing the phone to another Jen (Jenny's next door neighbor).
Fortunately we were able to find seats when it started to rain. People were still sitting outside with umbrellas!
Home around 7:30 and went out to do chores. So glad we got a little rain.
Tomorrow I am going to have to get in gear to clean the house. Sabine will be arriving from Germany at 11:30 tomorrow night. Can't wait to see her! Then it all begins.....lots of company.
Night all.

LOL My horses often traded stalls. Sometimes it was a mystery how they managed to do that.
Sounds like you will have a very busy weekend!
I must have missed what is happening when I missed a blog visit day. There is never a dull moment with the Family Skoog! This morning it was 70 with a dew point of 69. Welcome to our new tropical climate.
