A Lot For One Day

For starters, Last night Jenny and I were able to pick up Sabine at the airport just about midnight and I did not get to bed until after one.  It had been 15 hours since she left Germany.

We were still sleepy this morning, but she went with me to do morning chores.  Rebel was waiting for us.

We got them fed, cleaned the stalls, filled up 6 hay nets, added shavings and gave them each a flake of hay.

She was finally able to make contact with Little Wonder....he can tell she is like family.
We went to Wegmans for a few things and started working on dinner when we got home.  First, we made the biscuits for strawberry shortcake.
Gary hooked up the hose and gave many of our plants a good drink.

A few veggies are starting to show up now.
Sabine showed me some of the things she brought over for Jenny and Scott.
She put thee two ducks on their plates before dinner.
This was a super crazy day.  Our friends who were coming for a couple nights (a train trip that started in Oregon) were delayed and will not be coming at all now.  Daniela's plane was delayed, but in the end her Mom (Stephanie) arrived at the airport on time and Gary picked them both up around 6:30.
First Finn and Coop arrived for dinner, then Jenny and Scott.....and finally Daniela, Steph and Gary were back from the airport.  It's not too often that this entire gang gets together.  So sweet.  And having Sabine here was a bonus.

Sabine and I got everything together for dinner and we ate after 7:30.

Around 8:30 Jenny and Sabine went with me to do evening chores.  I love seeing them together.  They are truly like sisters.

When we got back in the house it was time for some strawberry shortcake.

Gary and Sabine did all the dishes.  Now we are pooped and ready for bed.  Except for us, the rest of the gang will be going to Canandaigua Lake to get everything ready before Sunday's wedding.  Of course they will also do some boating.
Night all.
