What a gorgeous day. Cool and sunny, Rebel and Buddy were in the front paddock when I got out to the barn.
I cleaned both stalls before they came in. It looked like they had hardly been inside.
Right after I finished, I got Gary to help me jump start the old John Deere so I could mow the pastures.
We are going to have a lot of company starting next weekend and I just won't have time to do it.
Finn came up to help Gary in the garden.
Check out those clouds! They were like that most of the day.
I ran out of gas and Finn refilled the tank for me.
It took many hours, but I got everything finished except for the outdoor arena.
Took a break then finished that. It was so dusty from being dry I was a filthy mess when I was done and had to take a shower. Boy, do we need rain.
Kim JR stopped up for some garlic and we had a chance to get in a lot of political chatter. At the same time, our friend Jim C. arrived and he and Gary had a nice long conversation.
I tried to take a nap, but it didn't work.
Made a zucchini, tomato, onion pie for dinner.
Gary found some cucumbers and shallots in the garden he and Finn were working on.
Chores at 7:45. The boys really seemed to enjoy the temperature today. That hot muggy stuff was so nasty for them.
Night all.

I hope you get some rain. We experienced several very dry years and are no having a very wet year. We had one year where we mowed the yard once a month just for weeds...and dirt like you said.
Gary is still laboring in the gardens? Yikes. I sure hope you get rain.
