A Marathon Day....Good Luck Getting Through This!

A little more comfortable today.  So much going on.

Finn and Coop came up to help Gary with the gardens again.
He showed them his morning routine with the horses.

Alice also arrived for Spa Day around 10.

I took a Spa break to take some photos.

Great progress was made in the Studio gardens.
Meanwhile back in the grooming room....it was Rebel's turn.

Little Wonder kept us company.

After Rebel and Buddy were groomed we went down to Barber's for lunch.  I had one of their salads for a change.
As soon as I got back home, it was time to mow the lawn.

Tonight the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra was opening the Summer Serenades Season at the SERC on the SUNY Brockport campus.  At 4:30 Gary and I went to Brockport
to pick up a couple of flower pots at Sara's and some ice before going to the SERC.
He stayed there to wait for the arrival of the RPO.  I went to Wegmans, took a shower and fed the horses.
Buddy and Rebel went into each others stalls.
I did not get down there until 6:45 and the concert started at 7.
Gary, Jenny, Finn and Cooper were handing out programs.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate the fact that they were happy to show up and help.  And this is not the first time.

I would say there were around 400 people there.
Many pals.

Gary was the host and made a few introductions.

SUNY Brockport and the Village of Brockport sponsored this event...
A Celebration of the Erie Canal Bicentennial.
I sat in the front row with Hanny, Bobby, Mo and Kathy.  The acoustics were amazing and so were the 10 selections they played.
Here are a few clips.
It amazes me to think the we could have 70 world class musicians in our little Village.  It says a lot about Gary and the Summer Serenades Committee, along with the Village of Brockport, SUNY Brockport and many donors who bring so much music to our community.  This is year 13.  Kudos!

The conductor was very happy to see the sign that was posted welcoming him.
He was outstanding and everyone loved him.
As we were leaving, there were many rave reviews.
The sunset was off the charts.

A very special evening!
Night all.
