Reunion

Did I tell you how much I don't like summer anymore?  Another steamer with more to come.

Rebel and Buddy were in the front paddock when I went out this morning and

they chose to have breakfast in their own stalls.

I made another quick trip to Wegmans and at 1:45 Jenny and Finn stopped up with his new (used) car that he bought yesterday.

It will be just right for him as he will be student teaching in September.  Now Coop has the Camrey and he will take it when he goes back to the University of Buffalo in the fall.

This was an extra special Spa Day for the boys.  Mary, who used to own Buddy, brought out her friend Karla....who just happened to be in Pony Club with Jenny almost 40 years ago!  They had not seen each other in decades and it was so nice for them to spend the afternoon together.

Of course the horses came into the grooming room as soon as they heard the door opening.

Mary met Karla years ago when they were both working in the same school.

Boy!  Did they ever get the full treatment!

So many Pony Club memories.

When everyone left we took it easy until dinner.  I made pasta in chicken broth with Romano cheese and peas.  So easy and so good.

We have not had very many blossoms so far.  Last summer we were loaded.

I fed the boys around 7.

It was still in the 80s and is supposed to be in the high 60s later.

It was still nice and light when I got back in the house.

Little Wonder kept me company while doing this post, but he passed on evening chores.
