The Home Stretch

Still waiting for it to rain.  Dark and so muggy tonight.

The same as yesterday.

Finn came up to help Gary again, while I went to Wegmans.  He is such a good kid!!!
This afternoon I wanted to use up some ripe peaches and plums and made a no bake pie with graham cracker crust.  Can't wait to try it when I finish this post.
Spent some time on my computer this afternoon standing up for a couple of political issues locally.  It's bad enough on the federal level, but now we have some very nasty stuff going on right here in River City.  I don't know why people have to be like this.  So much better when you work together.  This we/they enemy stuff has gone too far.

We picked our first zucchini today.  Sautéed with onions and topped with Romano cheese at the end.
We went total vegetarian for dinner, finishing up the leftover baked beans and coleslaw.  Have to keep an eye on the zucchini plants and pick when they are small.
This is the area Gary worked on today.  What an improvement!  Many decades ago (our house was built in 1823) there was a barn here for the work horses.  At some point it burned down.  Gary broke up the cement floor and made walls on either side of this area.  That was a major job around 1981 or 82.  Now, the hydrangeas are happy there.

Went out to tuck the horses in at 8.  So muggy and buggy.

Now, it's about that pie.
Night all.
