17 Minutes

It seems like there is no hope for getting out of this heat and humidity in the near future.

Same old same old.  Buddy was out eating grass and Rebel was in Buddy's stall.

At 10:30 I was at the library for a Democratic Committee meeting.  Congressman Joe Morrelle was our guest and he filled us in on the latest DC antics.  He also answered at least 20 questions and overall, we learned a lot.
He has been a friend for decades and I really appreciate what he is doing in Washington.  Sounds to me like his pals across the aisle recognize that a lot being done is BS and they don't like it.  Too bad they are too scared to stand up.

On the way. home I picked up a few things at Wegmans.
When I pulled in the driveway around 2, Jenny and Gary were sweating their brains out after putting mulch in the Studio gardens.  Too bad I did not get any photos....they were so hot!  The temperature was a steamy 93 degrees.  Little Wonder and I said the heck with this and hunkered down in front of the fans and air conditioner. On Monday I am going to start a search for a better system.

Around 7:30....much to our surprise....it got dark and we had a major downpour with thunder and lightning.  According to the wheelbarrow, we must have gotten at least an inch of rain in 17 minutes.

The temperature dropped and some of the humidity disappeared.  Our car is nice and clean now, as it was coming down in buckets.
We ate dinner around 7:30.  A tomato cucumber salad
with meatball subs.  (Those leftovers made it easy).

Chores after 8.  The barn did not feel too bad.

Hay delivery tomorrow morning.  We are all so thrilled.
Night all.
