Enough! Yuck!
At 9:30 we had a hay delivery coming so I put the boys in the grooming room with some hay to keep them out of the way. Also sponged them off.
We are very fortunate to have had Finn, Jenny and Scott here to help us. Dave, who is my hay guy....and Gary worked the whole time too. In 28 minutes 125 bales were stacked in two places.
Unfortunately I was slow on the draw taking more photos. The hay, 2nd cutting grass, is gorgeous.
Before leaving, Jenny and Finn moved the last of the mulch pile. (And now we need a couple more yards to finish everything).
A woman down the road has a stand and I happened to see a post that was just put up regarding what was available. I went right down and got peaches, plums,
big black cherries, 3 big peppers and a bag of those small peppers for ten bucks! The cherries alone would have cost that much at Wegmans. I am going to have to pay attention and keep getting fruit and veggies there. I can't leave the cherries alone.
Late afternoon I felt sorry for the horses and put them in the grooming room with some hay and water, thinking it was cooler there....it wasn't. They went back out after 15 minutes.
I will get more hay (80 bales) in a few weeks. More grass....my favorite.
The feed room is stuffed and so is my hay stall. The rest will have to go upstairs.
I did chores around 7:30 and sponged them off again.
They are spending more and more time outside during the night.
LW did chores with me, and was about as thrilled with the humidity as I was.
Sidney spends most of the day and night outside. One tough kitty. Seymour stays in the house all day and goes out at night.
Little Wonder has the pleasure of a fan or air conditioner 24/7.
Night all.
