Pitch Black...

Another mucky, dreary day in the low 30s.

How would you like to walk through this paddock?
I told Gary to go to coffee this morning and did chores.  When he returned he hung a heavy water bucket and took out the wheel barrow.  I have improved a lot.

 More muddy feet.
I am on a mission to get rid of some kitchen stuff and Jenny was kind enough to take about four full boxes to her house.  Some beautiful pottery and other dishes.  Just not using very much of the huge collection we have.
(Scott thought it was cute to put a strainer on her head)

At 1:30 we drove down to Brockport for a funeral at the Baptist Church.
There was a huge turnout and the family really kept it together during the service.
Not an easy day for them as they lost a wife/ Mom/Nanna.
We are going to be watching out for them along with many others.
By the time we got home and I heated up the beet pulp, it was dark when I went out to the barn.  Pretty soon the days will start to get longer again.
Tucked Rebel and the girls in for the night.

I keep moving stuff around as Gary does more painting.
He has done over half of the walls, primer and a finished coat.

After that, the ceiling and YUCK, inside all of the cupboards.
I'm not looking forward to moving everything.

He finally quit painting at 7 and we will take it easy for the rest of the evening.
Night all.

Hello Lori! We're having that same dreary weather here too - The mud so early in the winter season is really making a mess! I am envious of the painting, we are so far behind on those kinds of things, because of what you mentioned, moving everything, and of course there's the issue of the dogs while we're doing it.

PS: I'm sending you an e-mail about your e-mails. :-)

I hate mud like that. Glad you're feeling better. The kitchen is going to look awesome when it's done. It's nice that Jenny took the things you're not going to use anymore. That way it stays in the family. I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my Christmas dishes since I don't really use them anymore. My oldest girl Lori said she would take them so that makes me feel good about getting rid of them.

Our weather became awful as you know, however by this morning we are frozen in a winter wonderland of sorts. The back roads are nasty and the main roads are iffy. So I am home...waiting for hubby to eventually plow us out.
