Saturated!

Another beautiful start to the day.
Warm enough for the blankets to come off the horses
and the high was just short of 60 degrees.

It rained most of the night and once again we are under water in outdoor arena.

 A real boot sucker.
I put much of the hay under the shed roof.
At first, it was a little misty.

Of course Rebel and the girls could not wait to get dirty.

They headed straight for the "pond" in the big pasture....
 and Maggie did her thing.

At 10:30 our friend Judy arrived and we headed into Rochester
to meet friends for lunch at the Swan Market.
We love going there for their delicious German food
and classic atmosphere.  The best part is being seated with people
you don't know.
One of our friends did not make it, so there were only 11 of us.

We met there at 11am so we could all sit at the same table.
By 11:15 there was a long line and by 11:30 it was so crowded people
had to wait outside.
 Beer before noon!
Below is the "Sampler."
(the German garbage plate....a little of everything)
This is what Jenny and Judy ordered.
That's what I am going to get the next time.

When our 12th person did not show, these two gentlemen were seated at the end of our table and we had a great time talking to them.  The man on the right was born in Germany and had all kinds of good info for us.  He is talking to his Mom, who just happened to be there to buy things from the Deli.
Before we left, I ordered 3 kinds of sausage and some sauerkraut
to take back to our friends Roger and Tina.
We always take home sausage and freeze it so we can have company over
for another great dinner with German potato salad and red cabbage.

Is this not one crazy looking place?
Like going into someone's kitchen.

As soon as we stood up, this group filled our table.
See all the people waiting in line?

This has become an annual outing and we always walk away happy!

We were back home by 12:45 and later in the afternoon Gary delivered the sausage
to Roger and Tina and I went down to the car dealership, trying to figure out what I am going to do about a car.  I drove this 2019 Subaru and talked turkey.
The whole process is such a dance.
I'll need to make up my mind in a couple days.
If only we could exist with one vehicle!
Phoebe and Little Wonder were not in many photos today.
 Maybe tomorrow.
 Night all.
