Historically, Christmas Day is very relaxing with no commitments.
Swedes tend to have their main celebration on Christmas Eve
and since our kids are all grown up with homes and
children of their own, we just hang out and eat leftovers!
Most of the day was grey and we had a few snowflakes here and there.
I have a feeling that these buds are going to pop in a week or so.
Such a beautiful gift from Tina and Roger.

When I got in from the barn I could not wait to have some of Ulpi's fruit salad...a favorite of mine.
After that, I put the pups in the car (along with this basket of Carina's Challah Bread) and made deliveries to all the families that were here last night.
Can't believe I totally forgot to give them out before everyone left.
My first stop was at Jenny's.
I got back to the farm around 11 and by then the sun was out.
Relaxed this afternoon and had chore duty tonight.
Great leftovers for dinner. Two kinds of Mac and cheese mixed together, Swedish meatballs, Brussel sprout/kale/pecan salad and raspberry dazzle.
I had made ham salad for lunch so we did not need anymore ham for dinner.

We usually celebrate on Christmas Eve too with the family. We went over my daughter Lori's last night and had a feast which also included Swedish meatballs! No we're not Swedish but we love them. Today we traditionally have French Toast made from Challah bread and not much the rest of the day.

Your Christmas sounds similar to ours. We typically celebrate on Christmas Eve as well and laze around the next day. Sleeping in is much more important to me these days than when I was younger. We also have a lot of Scandinavian heritage in our family - maybe it's a European thing?
