So much cooler today. Yes!
Last night Maggie came in with a bowed tendon (front left) and was
in pretty bad shape. After checking her out, Karen ended up putting on a poultice and
and a wrap, then gave her a dose of bute. This morning she was very gimpy, but wanted to go out with the others.
It's going to take quite awhile for her to get through this.
Berlin kept her company.
When Gary got home from Java he made another batch of sauce.
An art show is coming up at A Different Path Gallery in October and I am getting things together for a poster. I selected this painting by Pam R.
The Skoog Farm Workshop
Exhibition 2018
"Students and Friends"
This afternoon I picked some raspberries
and made a rustic pie.
At 3pm we drove down to the Lodge in the Park for the annual school opening picnic for current/retired teachers from the district.
The food truck providing dinner this year was Jimmy Z's,
a local and very successful restaurant that is regularly swarmed by
local residents and college students.
The specialty is the garbage plate.
Do you know what that is?
At 4:30 we went over to the College President's residence for
First Friday. Gary started this event many years ago and it
is still taking place.
No need for food and drinks here, since we had already eaten.
Heidi and her husband are such gracious hosts!
Loved having the opportunity to catch up with friends.
Nap time.
Night all.

Of course I love the Zinnias! Oh and the name Garbage Plate. I have no idea what it is, but I had a friend who made 'stuff' for breakfast. Potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, peppers, onions, and other stuff all in one big frying pan over the campfire.
Always good!
