Winter Gala

A very long day and a beautiful sunrise.
This morning when I finished chore duty
I took advantage of the mildish weather and picked the pastures, front paddock and the indoor.
What a major load!

As per usual, Little Wonder stuck it out with me and got good and muddy.

Madam Queen Phoebe went in the house before Gary left for coffee at Java.

Today we cleaned up room number three and hung another painting in this room (two).
I still have some finishing touches to take care of in the sleigh bed room
but it's all painted....even the closet.
I threw out so much stuff today!

At 5:30 we drove to Rochester for
The College at Brockport Winter Gala.
"At the heart of Building a Better Brockport is community."
Tonight partnerships were celebrated and money was raised for students.
It was held at the Wintergarden at Monroe's.
A very beautiful setting.
We started off on the second floor with appetizers and drinks.

A trio provided us with music.

At 7 we were called to dinner by Sankofa and my drumming buddies.
That was a nice surprise.

The tables were gorgeous as were the centerpieces.

After everyone was seated, Sankofa performed once again.

Dinner.....
We started off with a Cranberry Blossom Salad....

and much later (we were almost the last to get served) the Entree arrived.
It's not easy to serve 420 people quickly....
Beef Tenderloin and Scallops
Whipped potatoes
Roasted Vegetable Medley

The atmosphere on the first floor was outstanding.
I went up to the 2nd floor to get a few shots.
Here is our table.

Assorted Desserts and a Coffee Bar ended our meal.

We pooped out before it was over.
Home a little after 10.
I hope they raised a lot of money at the auction!
Night all.
