More Work

Still crispy with lots of sun.

I was determined to rake out the area where Gary grew garlic this year
and then he seeded it for me.
Next, I will attack the garden by the windmill.  We are very serious about
cutting back and this should be a good time to start some grass.

For some reason Gary was into painting the outside of our picket fence.
This weather is so energizing.
I planned to finish mowing the lawn, but that came to a screeching halt when I got near the
big black walnut tree.  Once again there must have been a thousand big green balls on the ground
and they all had to be raked up before I could finish.
I had more nectarines that needed to be used
 so I made a tart.

At 2:30 the Town Highway Department dropped off a truck so we were able to have it overnight and get it loaded.  Jenny, Scott, Finn and Coop came up to help us and of course it would not
all fit.  We will have to get it again.
In return for their help I went down to Ralph and Rosie's to pick up a sheet pizza with their sweet sauce.  No cooking for Jenny tonight.
The sky was brilliant....going and coming home.

We used paper plates so Gary would not have to wash dishes.

Night all.

Look at that pud!!!!! Getting rid of rubbish after tree felling is a major job. That's why we are so happy we bought a truck load of logs, no stumps left, no brush to burn or get rid of, and just cut into rounds and split. Your walnuts are like the little cones off our banksia trees, they blunt the ride-on mower blades like stones!!!

Cleaning up a downed tree is a lot of work. It's nice you had help.

Whew. I had a neighbor come down last year after he heard the chainsaw running. He proceeded to help me clean up the yard after my husband had to lay down. Good people are fantastic.
