Back To Muggy

Boy, did we get some serious rain last night.
Of course I expected it since I dragged the outdoor arena.
You can count on it.
This is what it looked like yesterday!
But I am not going to complain, as there are many people around here (on wells) who are having all kinds of problems.  It's going to take a long time for things to get back to normal.
So far, so good with our well...knock on wood.
On our way out to the barn, Little Wonder stopped to smell the "roses."
Then he worked on his relationship with Seymour.

He looks the size of a mouse next to Angel.

It was so humid I was drenched by the time chores were finished.

Shortly after I got back in the house, Sally stopped in to meet you know who.
She is a dog person and he knew it.

These two are better together each day.

This was the last night for Summer Serenades and the weather was iffy.
I fed the dogs early and let them out for a potty break a little before 6.
Trouble in river city!  Little Wonder got attacked by ground bees and he was screaming!
When I saw what happened I brushed them off (about 6) his back and a couple more were by his ears....then they went after me.  Great!  I was supposed to be down there by 6:30.
I quickly put frozen peas on his back and ended up giving him some Benedryl.  This had to be the same thing that happened to him a couple days ago.  Anyway, I was not going to leave him home and figured we would just go hang out on the Welcome Center porch.
WRONG!  They moved it to Java because rain was on the way.  The place was filled to capacity and about 50 people were out on the sidewalk.

That's where we ended up too.
He and Phoebe sure got a lot of attention.
Exposure to a big crowd, music and walking on a leash.
Pete and Bobbie are very generous, letting us use their venue when the weather gets bad.
Java Junction has been the go to place for years.
Eight Days A Week was on tap tonight, and they always draw a big crowd.
You guessed it!  They only do Beatle music...and every person in the room knew
the words and sang along.
I decided to see if Little Wonder could figure out how to walk on a leash with Phoebe showing him the ropes.  He did pretty well....I'd give him a 70% on our first walk.

Gary babysat the dogs while I shot a couple of videos.

Tina, Auntie Jude and all kinds of people could not wait to hold Little Wonder.
And yes, they all gave attention to Phoebe too.

Jackie wanted to take him home.

Once again, traffic was stopped so the band could do their Abbey Road walk across Main St.

And that's all she wrote.
Night all.

We need the rain but I could do without the humidity. Phoebe and Little Wonder look like they had a great time and got lots of attention. He's really getting into the swing of things and learning a lot quickly. What a cutie.

Looks like you had some serious rain! We are under a continuous flash flood watch, it is going to storm again this weekend.
I hope you get some nice light rain and not the heavy downpours and winds.
Love Little Wonder, he looks precious!

What type of dog is Little Wonder? Every time we get rain I rejoice right now. I am so ready for fall and even for winter!
