After chores I spoke to Lollypop Farm and made an appointment to have
Phoebe meet Sage. When we got there, we waited on a bench in the lobby for at least an hour. She received a lot of attention from the children who were passing through. The therapy dog in her was front and center and she was very accommodating. Such a good girl.
Finally, they were able to meet. He was his perky self and there has been a lot of new hair growth on his back. They got along well, but there was one problem. Every 10 seconds he was scratching himself. I believe the house vet needs to try to get this under control so he is more comfortable.
Don't want to take him home and not keep him. They assured me that he will be there until he is adopted, so I am going to check back in and see if whatever is bothering him improves. Who knows. It could be food allergies, a chronic condition or ???? It's not over yet.
We headed back to the farm around 2:30.
The sky was gorgeous.
Another blossom today.
I had the urge to make more of that spectacular coleslaw.
Again.
Gary picked me a fresh cabbage.
Sauteed 4 pieces of bacon...
Shredded some cabbage.
Chopped up a big onion...
sauteed in the drippings.
added 4 tablespoons of cider vinegar and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
Added mayo....
Whisked it into a sauce.
Tossed everything together with salt, pepper and celery salt.
Gary grilled some hot dogs and we had another simple dinner.
Drove to Brockport at 6:45 and got home from a Town Board workshop around 9:30.
Very productive.
Night all.
