THIS WILL BE SHORT AND SWEET?

I owe ya, for yesterday's long one.

As soon as I open the barn doors, King Mustafa goes to the overhang and starts eating hay...every single morning.

I loved the reflections in the water trough.

Breezed through chores.  The grass is so eaten down, I am starting to put some hay out in the pasture each morning.

Spent the afternoon vegging...even took a nap.  Around 4 we got a call from Jen, who invited us down for dinner...great!  So I went out and got everything ready for evening chores so I could put the horses in at 6:30.

Jen made us a fab dinner.  Turkey tenderloin with a lemon marinade, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, applesauce and an outstanding salad.  Now that her work schedule has changed there is more time to do such things.

Finn and Coop were great.

and it didn't bother me one bit...not to have to cook tonight.  Thanks Jen!

On the way home...the sky that had been grey (with a little rain) all day, had a little color in it.  Too bad my picture through the front window of the car is nice and blurry.

Had the horses fed in 5 minutes...but Abbe sure needed some attention...she rolled in the mud.

It's so cozy when it's dark out.

Tomorrow I will try to get back into a picture taking mode...like getting some shots with quality in them.  Almost time for dancing.
Night all.

  4. Love the header as well! Sydney is so striking against the colorful leaves. Always nice not to have to cook dinner!

  5. I wish someone would invite me over for dinner, lucky you! It looked delicious.

Great header picture, the colors are so crisp. We're putting hay out too on the "hay trees" everyday. It does save the grass a little.
