What's Goin' On?

Below freezing this morning.
Phoebe did not even bother going to the barn with me.
We got about 2 or 3 inches of snow last night and are headed toward the teens.

Little Wonder is always chewing on something when we are in the barn.
Hay, sticks....you name it.
Why do horses look for grass under the snow when they have piles of hay in the paddock?

Phoebe knows just where to be.  After all, she had a lot of hair cut off on Friday
and the fire felt a lot better than the cold air.

Sunday Jam day.  There were about 10 of us and we played for almost 3 hours.
We spent the first hour working on our playlist, then switched over to whatever each person selected.  Several new songs.

About half an hour before we were finished,  my stand got knocked over and my book fell on the floor making a mess of all the music!  Just yesterday, I spent a LONG time putting all the sheets in sleeves and in the order of our playlists!  I had to look through everything to find what we were playing.  I must have over a hundred songs in that pile.
Back to the farm around 4:15 and the sun was making everything look gorgeous.

 Chore duty tonight.

I forgot to take pictures of dinner!
Grilled cheese and tomato soup.  Gary was in charge.
Night all.

No Obligations....

Ahhhh.  A day off.
Much cooler this morning and a little fine snow during the day.
Little Wonder and Phoebe definitely needed their fleece jackets.

Fortunately the ground was not nearly so muddy.

Late morning I ran a whole bunch of errands.  First I vacuumed my filthy car (I am always loading it up with shavings, grain, dogs, muddy boots etc.), then I bought some rug samples to put on the floor in the front and back seat.  They will get messed up too and I will just have to replace them.
After that I went to TJ Maxx and picked up a few clothes followed by a quick stop at Wegmans.
I spent much of the afternoon organizing the music in my Sunday Jams notebook.  Now most of the music is covered with sleeves so I don't rip it.
While dinner was heating up I practiced about 15 songs.
Seymour decided to get in a couple of baskets that were on the floor and LW
would not leave him alone.
 Phoebe slept right through it.
Tonight's salad was cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, celery, homemade croutons, crumbly blue and a
great vinaigrette dressing.
 The leftover pasta tasted great.

I have been trying to read all day...finally it's time.
Night all.

A Very Busy Morning....

I had a lot going on.
First of all, the sunrise was encouraging and by the time I got out to the barn the sky was gorgeous.  After chores I ran Little Wonder and Phoebe down to the groomers (his debut) and from there I hit Agape.  I wanted to keep busy until it was time to pick them up so, decided to check out the Art Faculty exhibition at the college.  I ended up at Wegmans and then it was time to pick up the pups.  Back home and hanging by the fire.
(This is a long one).

Home again, home again.....

I had chore duty tonight, then we went out to Ron and Anne's
for our monthly dinner with them, Brenda and Al.

Beef Wellington.
 Cream of asparagus soup.

I made the salads.
Red leaf lettuce, pickled beets, mandarin oranges, candied walnuts, crumbly blue and a nice
vinaigrette dressing.

Brenda made a delicious amaretto cake (gluten free) served with whipped cream.

We were all stuffed and ready for nap time.
Home by 10.
Night all.
