BARB'S BARN IS DONE, NOW FOR THE DETAILS

 Barb was here this morning to help with chores.  Only a few more days until she and Mustafa are "home."

 It was extremely buggy....right off the bat.  The fan was on all day.

 The ponies came in from the pasture until the wind picked up and they were more comfortable out there.

When we were finished, I drove over to Barb's so I could catch a few more shots of the barn.

 The skylights were in and the roof was shingled by 12:30.  Barb and Ron moved tons and tons of stone into the stalls, aisle and under the shed roof.  They have to be exhausted.  Tomorrow morning hay is being delivered to our barn and hopefully some nice strong young men are going to be here to help her unload.

My class arrived at 10:30.

 Tina worked on DJ and the hydrangeas.

 Donna finished her butterfly.

 Judy worked on a pencil drawing of a swan................ and Jean took the day off.

 Another hibiscus blossom and Tina missed it again.

 At 1:30 my drumming pals showed up for a practice.

There were 8 of us today.  Stan came out from Rochester (from Khalid's group) and really helped us a lot.

What I really wanted to do was take a nap...instead, I went out to do chores.

 Of course Phoebe and Gucci assisted.

 It was the most beautiful part of the day.

 Gary got home about 5:45 (still painting).  I had not cooked a thing.  After getting cleaned up, we went down to the library to take down the rest of the art show.

Packed up the car and went out for a bite.  Home before dark.

Night all.

THE BARN RAISING...AT LAST...

 I knew Barb would not be here this morning....at 7 am her barn was being started.

 I breezed through chores and mowed the front paddock.

Then...I went over to Barb's.  It was a little after 9 and I was astounded by the progress that had been made.

 The building was Amish made and they were putting it together on site.

 I did a couple of errands and went back over around 2pm.  By then, the roof was on....

 and the stalls were taking shape.  After I left, they put in two skylights and tomorrow they will shingle the roof (maybe they got that done too).  Barb must be so psyched!

Back home and had trouble loading photos.  Finally got that straightened out.

 Gary went to a Duck Derby meeting and I did chores.

 Judy and Randy invited us to dinner...got down there around 6:30.

 They live in this dollhouse during the summer months and spend the rest of the year in Florida.

 The gardens are beautiful.

 We dined on their screened in porch.

 Started off with cheese, mango craisin chutney and a fabulous onion dip.

 Lemonade with fresh mint.

 Then we had a big salad...

 and some homemade (from scratch) pizza.

 Judy is the most talented cook I know...baker too.  She and Randy are vegetarians and she makes such creative meals.  I wish she could cook for me everyday.

 As if that wasn't enough, she made these "donuts" just before she served them and we had the option of drizzling hot fudge or fresh rhubarb sauce on top....whipped cream too.

 A Gatsby kind of evening.

Home by 9:30...Barb had already put the ponies in.
