Wing Night on Sweden Hill

Another cold start.

This trike is the best!  I use it year round to take my beet pulp, carrots and warm water to the barn.  The best part....I don't have to walk on ice in the winter.
Daniela, Ariana and Kurt had breakfast as they prepared for the day.
Both of the girls did some school work on their computers.

Ariana and Kurt left for a quick trip out to Lake Ontario and then they were off to see Niagara Falls.  It was clear and the roads were bare when they left.  There was a lot of snow that they ran into as soon as they hit Hamlin and the driving conditions were not the best....but they made it!

Such good sports to stick with the plan.
In the meantime, Gary went to Brockport for coffee and Daniela and I had a chance to just hang out and talk.
At 2, Jenny picked her up and even tho Ariana warned them about the snow out at the lake, they chose to tough it out and went there for a very brisk walk,
They only walked about 2 miles and it's a good thing they were dressed for the weather.
We maintained the Homefront in a very relaxed way.

Little Wonder did not join me for morning chores, but once again he was game to go out this evening.

The boys were out all day and seemed happy to get in their suites.

We were down at Jenny's for dinner at 6.  All ten of us ordered wings...many different sauces and tons of them.  We also had a caesar salad and plenty of good, funny conversation.

When we finished eating we had a boys against the girls trivial pursuit contest.  The boys won!

Family time is the best....low key and so many laughs.
Home by 10 and getting started on this very late!  Tomorrow night....garbage plates, drumming and music!
Night all.

Dinner for Ten

Fah reez innnn this morning.  Felt like 1 degree,

At 11:30 Ariana and Kurt picked up Finn and went to the airport as Daniela was arriving around noon.  We sure were lucky to catch breaks with the weather.  By then, Gary had totally cleared the driveway with the snow blower. We got at least 6 inches of snow and I had already shoveled a path from the house to the barn door.  Now my back is sore.
Jenny had come up to the farm with a few things and while she was here Daniela arrived.

I put together a gigantic pot of chicken and gravy for dinner.  Jenny made biscuits and mashed potatoes.
After an afternoon of shopping for some good winter boots, Ariana and Kurt returned to the farm and while I was out doing chores they came to the barn.

Jenny, Finn Coop and Heather arrived at 6pm and dinner was ready

We sat at the table for a couple hours when we finished eating....

and had Steph's cookies for dessert.

Ended the evening out by the fire.

Finn fell asleep.
So did Little Wonder.
Night all.
