What a crappy day! Torrential downpours all day long with very high winds and so far we have gotten 1.6 inches of rain. Little Wonder was on my lap this morning as usual, and I did not notice where he went when he got down. When he gets scared he goes in a closet off the dining room (which is dark) and he can't get back out. Gary heard him scratching on the door and we could not figure out why he would go hide.....until we looked out the window and this happened......
That is one huge branch.
I attended a meeting at the library starting at 10:30 and on my way home stopped at Wegmans and picked up some junk food for lunch.
Shortly after I got back to the farm (it was still pouring and blowing) this happened and it was loud. Another huge branch fell to the ground.
The trunk of this tree is over 16 feet in diameter and it's very old. What's next? We are going to need one of Scott's dumpsters to get this out of here.
Little Wonder and I took it easy for awhile and then
I made some rhubarb cookies. They are so good!
I did not make dinner...we just ate what we could find in the frig.
Now the fire is going and I can't wait to get back out to the kitchen.
