Be Prepared

If you get through this post, you are a real trooper.  By 7:30 the Town arrived to pick up the truck and I put the remaining piles into 4 wheelbarrows with one load leftover for Gary.

When he got back from running errands, moved everything over to the compost pile.  While he did that, I mowed the lawn and took pictures of the gardens.  These wild yellow roses are blooming right on schedule.
Everything is growing like crazy.

The potatoes have really popped up and now we have two teepees for some beans.

Here are the remains of the willow tree.

....and Gary taking the last load over to the compost pile.
I still feel the need to mow the front paddock....and eventually I will attack the pastures.

At 12:15 we left to attend a birthday party at the Whitehall Mansion.  This is the view from the back.  Many years ago a Doctor and his family lived here and now it has been turned into a first class venue for all kinds of events.

We were there to celebrate our friend Alicia's 85th birthday.
Everything about it was fabulous...from beginning to end.

It was a perfect lunch.....designed by Alicia.

After hearing from the family, we sang Happy Birthday and

were treated to birthday cake.

Cooper was here when we got home... to help Gary in the yard.  He did a lot of hand mowing and they took down a dead branch from the apple tree....a pretty big one.  Tomorrow he goes back to Buffalo to start an internship at a bank and will be there all summer.

Leftovers for a late dinner.
Night all.
