An Early Celebration

Great weather today.
Gary put the shelves back together for my pots and pans, so I got that organized and then
went out to pick some flowers for Jenny.
Tonight we were celebrating Mother's Day.

Gary got the hand mowing all done and picked some rhubarb.
The strawberry plants look so good.

I made a small batch of sauce and my next thing will be rhubarb shortcake.

Jenny, Scott and Finn picked us up a little before 5 and we were off to Main Street Pizza in Batavia for dinner.
We were very surprised when Cooper walked in!  He drove over from Buffalo to join us and we were able to catch up with all his latest adventures.  Two more exams and he will be finished for the semester.  Then he can come home for two weeks before starting a 10 week internship at a bank in Buffalo.
Finn will also finish up this semester in a couple of days.
This restaurant never lets us down.  Everyone was totally satisfied and we all took home leftovers for tomorrow.

We were back at the farm before 7:30 and sent Jenny home with some flowers and a bag of coffee.
She gave me the sweetest card....
and two begonia plants....one for each porch.

Night all.
