Lesson Number Two

We had a dreary start to the day, but by noon it was gorgeous and we hit 71 degrees.  I was very happy to receive this photo of my friend Sandra's 26 year old stallion.  Such a peaceful sight.  It arrived when I was out in the Studio giving another lesson to my friend John.  This was only our second time working together and boy! is he going to be a quick study.

He has learned many of the chords and played my baritone uke today....I played the bass and that was fun for a change.  I put together a book of about 20 songs that are in the easy category and I just know he will be practicing like crazy.  Next week we will go in to Rochester to get him his own baritone uke.
I taught him a new strum today and he even played my bass for a few minutes.
This is what we sounded like learning "Stand By Me."  Just remember...this is only the 2nd time.
We were done by 12:30 and it was a good session.

Of course Little Wonder had kept us company.
Gary spent many hours in the kitchen garden and planted peppers, tomatoes, parsley and basil.  Some of the strawberry plants are now a foot tall.
LW had a little break while I came up with a statement to write on the mat for the photo going in the art show next week.

Fortunately we had leftovers from last night for dinner.

Night all.
