Almost all the schools in this area announced (last night) that they would be closed today due to heavy snow and wind. It was the right thing to do.
Rebel and Buddy were game to go out for their morning hay.
Before getting out there, I had shoveled a path from the house to the barn....
and by the time I finished cleaning the stalls it got very squally.
Gary got the snow blower going and I was shoveling until 10:45. (That was a long morning).
Little Wonder did not want to go with me for chores and tried a potty break without wearing his black coat. He lasted for a couple of minutes.
The temperature started dropping and after another squall I decided to put the boys back in the barn around noon.
This time LW was smart enough to wear his coat.
At 5 the boys were turned out while Gary did the water (topped off with warm) and I reset the stalls.
Fortunately dinner was started before going out. Port chops, squash and a salad.
Right now the temperature is 12 degrees and it feels like -2. Can't wait to take a hot shower.
Night all.

I always enjoy your blog, LM, Rebel, and Buddy and all y'all do to keep them fed and warm. Your dinner always looks yummy, too!
What fun for the local kids to have a snow day!!
Our high today was 37*F with the low tonight 20*F and colder nights are coming in the next few nights.
Hugs!
