Here We Go

We are headed for some Minnesota weather.  Started off the morning shoveling a path to the barn.  I'd say we got around 4 plus inches.

Of course it was snowing.

I decided to put the hay under the shed roof as at that time there was no wind.  Ha! That did not last very long.

It was warm enough for Little Wonder....in the 20s.
Gary got the driveway cleaned up with the snow blower and we continued to have squalls all afternoon.  I was at the library for bridge and you could hardly see the street from the window.  Seeing that the temperature was dropping and it was so windy again, I called Gary and had him put the boys in their stalls.  They had plenty of hay and warm water....at 5:15 I delivered their dinners.

LW was game for going out again.
The light was beautiful by the time I finished.  If it gets as cold as they are predicting (wind chill -20) Rebel and Buddy will be spending most of the time in their suites for the next couple of days.

I had made a cauliflower/cheese casserole this morning so I would not have to rush tonight. Had to stop at Wegmans and Country Max for some grain on my way home.  In case the weather gets super crazy I wanted to make sure I had plenty of everything.

This morning I watched the Jack Smith hearing and there were no surprises.  What will happen next?
Night all.

Whoa! 31 Degrees today!

We all needed a break....and now snow is on the way.

Not quite as windy.
Little Wonder was game for going with me to do chores.

When we got back to the house I made more changes to the upstairs.  Turned the new king sized bed into twins now and can adjust it as needed.

At 11 I went down to Oak Orchard to pick out some new reading glasses. Somehow I scratched the heck out of one of the lenses in my old ones.  While I was gone we had 3 face cords of wood delivered.  That will keep Gary very busy in the stacking department.  Home a little after noon, did more laundry and took it easy.  Evening chores at 5:15.  It was nice and quiet....not dark yet.

Got the boys tucked in and had already started on dinner.

Baked chicken with onions, carrots and a yummy sauce....
with some Mac salad on greens.
I just can't seem to get going with the picture taking.  Hibernation has taken over.
Night all.

Sunshine and it Felt like -11

It has not been this cold for quite awhile and it's going to get worse.

Can't remember a time when we have had so many strong, windy days in a row.
Started off feeling like -4.

Sure was glad I found my gator to cover my face.

I did a lot of laundry when I got back in the house and changed around some bedding.  Had a short time to relax with Little Wonder before going to my cardiologist for a check up.
Rebel and Buddy toughed it out all day long and I put them in a little early.

Too cold for LW this morning, but he wanted to go out with me tonight.  He must have figured out that it's only for 10 minutes.
Leftover sloppy Joes for dinner.
Night all.
