Back to raw wind and the 30s and I put the sheets back on the boys. Rebel did not eat all of his grain this morning and has had me worried all day.
They went out back for awhile....
nibbled on some grass, and came back in for some hay.
I went back out a couple of times to check on him and he was just standing in the pasture doing nothing.
Had a lunch date with Jane Clift, a friend I had not seen in almost 45 years. She and Wayne moved away in the 80s and came back to town almost two years ago. We talked like crazy for a couple of hours at the diner, then went back to her apartment to see her husband and rescue pup....Bama.
When I got back to the farm, Rebel was still not his normal self, so I put both of them back in their stalls and made a warm bran mash. He ate some, but not all. Of course Buddy chowed his down in a minute.
Around six I turned them out for a few minutes and set up their dinners. Rebel was ok with going out, but did not seem interested in eating any grass.
When I tucked them back in, he ate over half of his dinner (more bran mash mixed in) but did not go for the hay. His temperature was normal and I could hear gut sounds. Was not trying to roll. What the heck is going on? Gave him a massage and will go back out in a couple of hours,
Gary is off to the Writer's Forum at the college. The author is a Ukranian woman and it should be especially interesting. I will be going back out to the barn every couple of hours. Hope there is some improvement.
Night all.

Hope Rebel is okay, just being a tad finicky. Do horses get finicky? I wouldn't know.
Hugs!
