Ride #16

Beautiful weather today.

This morning Gary went over to Scott's to help paint the bedroom and walk-in closet he just finished putting together. He had knocked a wall down between two bedrooms. Progress.  Next, he will be create two bedroom and a bathroom upstairs.  He has lived in this cape cod house (and built it himself) for 20 some years.  Eventually he and Jenny will be moving there.  An addition should be started this coming week.

I took LW for a short walk down the lane mid morning.
As per usual, I was slow on the picture taking.  Tomorrow Jenny, Scott, Finn and Cooper are coming over for a pulled pork dinner to celebrate her birthday and Father's Day.  I spent some time trying to find a recipe that would work in a crockpot.  Will be busy tomorrow.

The wind had knocked down part of a tree out by the road and today Gary cleaned it up.

This afternoon Finn stopped by to drop off his Mom's crockpot (as mine is too small).  He was on his way to a friend's house (near here) to play whiffle ball.  What a riot! There are several organized teams....they have special shirts and they have a blast playing almost every weekend (tournament style).  He and Cooper are on different teams.  Last week Coop struck Finn out.  Ever since Finn was in High School, his friends have called him Skoog.

Eventually I went on a trike ride.  Now I have made a serious effort to find more French songs by Billy Easton.  Love everything she sings and it inspires me to go out and ride (so I can post her music).

Here is another shot of our willow tree.  It looks so weird now.
Doesn't it look like it would fall over?
When we put some of the plants on the back porch, I decided to kick this bird of Paradise out of the house as there were bugs on it and it was dripping sticky stuff on the floor.  Out there it was on the table under an open roof and got blown and rained on like crazy.  I cut all the leaves off and bam! It's starting to grow again.  I have not had blossoms on it for at least 4 years and they were so gorgeous.  Wonder if it will ever happen again.
A no brainer for dinner.
Little Wonder looked like a million bucks in tonight's photos.

Night all.

PS
Andrea sent me a shot of Buddy today and said he is doing better.  It's time for me to go see him again.
