Summer Serenades Finale

Still cool today.  Spritzy for a short time this morning and ended up with sunshine.  Jenny was here at 8am to pick up Sabine and take her to Rochester for the day.

Chores as usual.

When finished, I mowed around the pastures as I want a friend to come and work on our fences.  The grass was very long as I have only mown once in 5 weeks.
Little Wonder was able to take it easy much of the day.
At 1 I went to the Library for bridge.  I missed the last two weeks and was happy to be back.
Stopped at Wegmans on the way home and then turned around and drove Gary down to the Welcome Center for the final concert of the season.  Little Wonder went with me and I had the sun roof open.

Back home for awhile....did chores and went back down to Summer Serenades.

The weather was perfect by then.
The Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra is always loved by this audience.

It was dark when we got home and had leftovers for dinner.
Night all.

Lunch for Ten

Whoa!  Today we were in the 60s with spritzy rain that started last night.  Boy, did it feel good! The boys were out in the pasture when we got out to the barn.

After chores I finished setting the table in the dining room as we were having guests for lunch.  Judy C., her husband Randy and son Josh were in town, visiting from Florida.  Three other couples joined us.
I made a tomato salad with our San Marzanos, onions, a little red cabbage, roasted red peppers and feta cheese.
Patty brought a green salad....
Alicia made a fruit salad....
and Judy brought three pizzas.

We had not seen Judy and Randy for a couple of years, so we had plenty to talk about.

Three hours later, they all left and we took it easy.

Sabine enjoyed our crazy conversations.
Chores a little after 7.

It was still spritzing and cold enough for us to wear jackets.

When we got back in the house, Gary and Sabine were ready for a hot cuppa tea.  This is one of the tea cups she bought at Bittersweet.  So neat.....that pocket on the side that holds the tea bag.
That's a wrap.
Night all.

Fine Dining With Sabine and Family

A nice cool day for the most part.  We even had a little rain and expect more tonight.

There has been less and less manure in the barn....the boys must be spending all night outside.  After breakfast, they chowed on some hay in the run-in before going out to the pasture.  Sabine helped me with chores.

Yesterday she really cleaned out the gate area to the outdoor arena.

She and Little Wonder have become best buds.

Gary went to yoga and out to lunch....I made another batch of sauce.  The San Marzano tomatoes are finally coming on strong.

Sabine spent some time outside reading and Little Wonder went over to the Studio for a visit.

It did not take long for them to become best buds.
While she went for an hour and a half walk...
LW was hanging out in the kitchen.
I did chores early....and of course that was when it was raining.

Tonight Sabine treated our family to dinner at Ironwood.
The restaurant was packed and we ate outside.  A perfect setting.

A burger, fish, chicken French, scallops, a wrap, salads and more.
It was dark by the time we left.

Home again....home again.  Thank you Sabine!
Night all.
