29 Degrees This Morning

 A chilly start this morning that warmed up enough to make it a very beautiful day.

The sun was blasting into the kitchen ....

and there was a very hard frost.

Little Wonder wore his black coat.

Of course I woke up very early...as in 5am.... because my body was sure it was 6.  Just stayed up and went out to feed the boys at 7:30 instead of 8.

Jenny and Scott stopped up for awhile.  By then it was a little warmer.

When they left, LW and I went down to Country Max for some grain and shavings.

He can't wait to go for a ride in the car.

Home in time to make lunch and watch the Bills game.  It was another good one.

They were playing Miami and were tied up with seconds to go.  In the nick of time they got close enough for their kicker to make a 61 yard field goal and they won my 3 points!  Amazing!

Little Wonder could have cared less.

The sun was brilliant the entire day.....

and the sky looked quite like it did last night when I went out for evening chores.

Made sauce this afternoon and we had spags and a salad for dinner.  We will be eating much earlier now.

Finally! Out to Lunch With Carol and Topper!

Talk about cold!  Yikes!

You know the drill.

We have been trying to get a date for lunch with Carol and Topper for weeks, and today we finally made it happen.  We chose Main Street Pizza in Batavia as they have a lunch special that I can't resist.  They make their own pasta, sauce, salad dressings and bread....all delicious.  For $13 you can get your choice of pasta (I love their bolognese sauce), a salad (I get their antipasto) and fresh warm bread.  If you have not been there, you need to give it a shot.  They have a huge menu and many people go for pizza and wings.

Carol and I got the pasta lunch special....(available every day)

and the guys got sandwiches and fries.  Gary ordered a cup of soup too.

Home around 2, Gary built a fire and I binged "The Diplomat" until chore time.

Starting tomorrow, I will be doing chores before dinner and the boys will be tucked in by 5:15.  Have to remember to change the clocks tonight.

The sky was beautiful on my way back to the house.

I made a quick trip to Wegmans after chores and by then the sun was setting and all the colors changed.

Whatever we could find for dinner tonight.  I finished the rest of my pasta from lunch.

Donald Trump attacked Republican Liz Cheney for being a “radical war hawk” on Thursday before imagining a violent scene where the former representative had guns aimed at her.

“Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face,” said the Republican presidential nominee, who dropped by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s tour stop in Glendale, Arizona.

He added, “You know, they’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, ‘Aw, gee will, let’s send — let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy.’”

         Are you sick of all the vulgar, vindictive, negative, undiplomatic comments being made?

Is there any hope for justice?

 The weather was crazy today.  It was still very dark at 8am and the wind died down slightly after being so strong last night.

The horses were turned out and I finished the stalls in under an hour.

At 1pm I was at Bobby's (my partner) for 4 hours of bridge with snacks and dessert.  One of the neighbors (Maureen) subbed for Terry and we had a great time.  I've never seen one person get so many spectacular hands!  She and Hanny kicked our butts when all was said and done.

Home after 5 and needed a nap.  But no!  It was almost chore time.

Tucked the boys in and made pancakes for dinner.

I really do need a nap.  Fortunately there is a fire going in the kitchen.
