AAAHHHHHH....FRESH AIR

When I went to bed last night it looked like this.

This morning Gary carried on the chore duties and eventually I had a visitor.  Alice stopped over with some tickets for the Duck Derby and ended up taking pictures of the dogs getting as close to me as possible.  I feel like I'm living in a disaster area with all the special equipment surrounding me.
While Gary and Woody worked on the gardens today, I took a little stroll out to the orchard area.
Out long enough to catch a couple of shots.
Lily and I had some nap time....
Had a surprise call from Donna and she brought up dinner before going to work at the library.

Was very surprised to Sidney out on the back porch.

Gary went down to meet Finn and Coop when they got off the school bus and did some painting on the house.  When he got home we ate dinner.  What a feast!  Turkey meatballs, green beans, leftover scalloped potatoes and a salad.  Boy, do we have some special friends.  Thank you thank you.
Went out to the barn with Gary...lasted for about 10 minutes but did a couple of things.

I'd say that Abbe has improved by 40 or 50 percent.  Maybe we will be sound at the same time.

Back in for the duration.
Night all.

PS
Check out this picture Jenny took of the boys going to school this morning.
Cooper picked out his outfit and told Grampa all the teachers loved it.

THE GREAT ESCAPE TIMES TWO

This is the first day class started at 10:30 and it should be the last time we will be in the house.
Studio here we come.
There were 5 people here and it worked out very well as I kept my leg up and iced.
Somehow about a dozen of my photographs disappeared...I was so psyched to show you what
Mary Ann has been up to.  I'll have to retake them.

A couple of them picked spinach and they were off until next week.
Made some egg salad for lunch (eggs courtesy of my friend Janice's chickens).
Then I took an afternoon siesta.
Made my second escape around 3:30.  Gary was mowing the big pasture and I decided to go out on my own.
 No problem.
Got to see some of my buddies.

He did a great job....now 3 have been done.

He went out to do chores around 6.
I made dinner.
Night all.  Things are starting to look better.

COOLIN' IT

And so it goes.  When I'm not doing PT or going from one end of the house to the other, my little guardians are keeping me company.  Now the lab tech who comes to draw blood twice a week is bringing them cookies.  They have been getting a lot of attention.  Today Sally and Judy came up after Tai Chi....Gary made them some pretty special coffee and served homemade bread and jam.  It was good to be with our favorite dinner pals...look forward to getting back to that.  Of course we sent them home with bags of spinach.  Out of the blue Ruth R. called and said that she was in the process of making us dinner...ham and scalloped potatoes...an offer we could not refuse.

I was evaluated this morning regarding how to proceed with PT.  Kate checked me out in everyway and we will decide how soon I start going to Agape.  Maybe next Monday.

BY THE WAY!!!!!!  I am really ticked that Playlist has made it impossible for me to have music on my blog.  Does anyone understand what is going on or if there are any options?

MORE HELP FROM JENNY, THE CUB REPORTER

One more time...Jen stopped what she was doing to come up to the farm to groom the horses and soak Abbe's leg.  As tho she does not have enough to do.

While she and Gary were out doing chores the skies opened up...

Some serious rain.

Within half an hour the sun returned.
Today I think I started turning the corner.  Did not take as many pain pills and am able to get around better.  Using a cane part of the time and going out to see Berlin and Abbe was the best medicine (Brett, you were right).  I even made dinner.  Breaking down scar tissue is the most difficult part of this whole process.  Your encouragement and concern has given me a lot of strength.  Thank you so much for being there.  Only other blogging pals can understand what it means to have friends all around the world who can truly become a part of my everyday life.
Thank you thank you......

AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!

In between raindrops Gary escorted me out to the paddock.
When I called the horses they came running.
They wondered what the walker was, but came right up to me for some carrots and apples.

 Made my day.

CRYIN' IN THE RAIN

We finally got some rain...all day.  Stayed in the 50s.  I had physical therapy at 9:45 and one pound weights were added to both legs.  No problem until I put my leg on the hearth and really leaned into it.  Big ouch.  It got even worse when Don worked on it...by then I was cryin' on the inside.  Went from 88 to 85.  My worst day yet.  Now I have to keep doing the toughest exercise extra times during the day.  Brett, did you have any set backs?

Visitors today.  Joan, Louise and Sally.  More goodies...thank you very much.  I have only had to cook once in the past 18 days!  Need some rest.  Night all.
