Charcuterie....

It was a long day, but I do love putting together a board and it was worth it.

A cool morning and we ended up in the high 50s.

I started gathering up the things needed to get much of the prep work done at home.  Just before I got going, Carol stopped up to get the last few bundles of hay for Buddy.
First on the list, was toasting a sliced baguette.
Then I spent quite awhile cutting up veggies....

and some cheese.
I had everything ready to go by the time Jenny arrived at 1, so we could load up her car and get down to Whitehall Mansion for the Morgan Manning Event.  Jenny is on the board and is an excellent contributor....in the dark ages Gary used to be President. We have been involved for decades.
The room was all set up....such a beautiful facility.

We unloaded everything into the kitchen and got started.  I had divided the veggies, cheese, olives, pepperoni etc. into two baskets so we would each have the same things to create with.
This is how they turned out.  Sort of like doing a painting.
5 kinds of cheese, grapes, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, Greek olives, pepperoni, peppered salami, carrots, celery, cucumbers, peppers, dates, apricots and mozzarella balls.
All kinds of delicious crackers.

There was a program before the food was put out.  An update as to what has been done since the night of the fire.

The usual suspects were there offering their support.

After a quick clean up, we were able to leave around 5:30.  A long day for me.
Having sampled almost everything, I sure did not need dinner.  Had a bowl of oatmeal with walnuts and craisins.
Little Wonder was very happy to have me back home.
Night all.
