Another crazy day.
It went like this.
7:30 - Chores
9am -Harvest Festival debriefing at the Farmer's Museum.
I wore my barn clothes again. Barely made it.
Home at 10:15 and started working on lunch....bridge here today.
Lunch at noon.
Lorna, Hanny and Bobby.
Always a great escape from our usual.....
Except for the mushrooms and romaine, everything was from our garden.
Onions, peppers, zucchini, eggplant and tomatoes.
Cucumbers and onion in the salad.
Gary picked raspberries and strawberries this morning so I could make
a no-bake pie.
It was delicious. So was everything else.
Hanny was my partner for bridge and this is the worst hand I have ever had.
We did squeak by a win in the last hand.
The pups babysat us the whole time.
They were very happy to get outside.
Mary and I did a little door to door tonight and met a couple of people (a Republican and an
Independent) who said they are voting for us because they are not happy with what is going on
politically in our community. That was a real upper.
For your viewing pleasure, here is the last 1/2 page ad our opponents put in the local paper.
Pretty classy, don't you think? This is their third and I'm sure they will
keep going until November 5th! Fortunately, the people in our community know
who we are and what we stand for. In fact we have had three calls already from
people who are upset by this form of mud slinging and they want us to put up our
signs on their properties.
Ironically, when it's all over our opponents will say "it's just politics!"
It doesn't matter if they tell the truth or not.
It's no wonder people do not want to run for office.
Night all.
