A Nice Day For A Barbeque...

 A beautiful morning...very energizing.
After chores, Karen rode Maggie and I rode the lawn tractor.

Gary was given a few very leggy tomato plants so he found a place for them in the garden.
I have a feeling he will do a lot of planting tomorrow since he does not have to work.

This was my view from the big pasture.
While I was out there, Angel and Maggie joined me.

It looks like a golf course.
I made a call to Gordon B. today so he will come up and work on the outdoor arena.  The grass is just not thick enough for soft footing.  Who wants to ride on hard, lumpy ground?
Jenny, Coop, Finn and Scott came up for dinner.
Gary was on the grill.  BBQued drum sticks and a marinated pork tenderloin.  Perfectly done.
Our back porch makes a nice outdoor kitchen.

Scott, Coop, Finn and Jen spent some time throwing a baseball around.

Gucci just loves to sit in a chair and watch all the action.
Finn gets his cast off in 9 days.  I'm sure he will be glad when that's over.

Made a pitcher of lemonade for this 80 degree day.

The boys wanted brownies for dessert....made them in a pie plate and served with vanilla ice cream on the top.
The roasted potatoes were a big hit...."better than french fries."
Jen made a delicious salad with mandarin oranges, craisins and red onion.  Something that Saint Tim would drool over!

 A nice, simple meal.
After dessert I went out to tuck the girls in.
Just as I was getting back to the house, the crew was leaving and Coop and some music goin'.

A very nice, relaxed evening.
Night all.

Sounds like a good day to just enjoy being home. Dinner looked delicious. The cast will come off just in time for summer fun. Bet he will be very happy about that
