Yes!

Another gorgeous day.  Actually, we truly deserve it after that long winter of our discontent.

Remember the pine tree we had cut down a few days ago?  Well, I didn't tell you what happened while they were throwing down the chunks of the trunk.
The weight cracked the top of our septic tank and we had a real problem.  Fortunately, the company that did the job went out of their way to make sure it was taken care of properly.  This morning they arrived with a honey dipper, emptied the tank, removed the broken cement lid, really cleaned out the tank and then put in a plastic one which they surrounded with sand.  Now, it is like having a tank in a tank.

At 11 I had an appointment with the massage therapist, so I was not there when they finished the job.  It was all filled in when I got home and they are going to seed it on Monday.  What a classy outfit.  Thank you John Nugent...you are a pro.
At one I went to drumming.
Loved the rhythms we were playing today.
We have all kinds of gigs coming up.  In fact, several left our afternoon session and went in to Rochester to play at a school of dance, having already put in 3 hours of drumming.
Next weekend we are playing at a half-marathon held in one of the city parks.  Again, we will be placed at the top of the longest hill to get several thousand people up there. Our sound definitely serves as motivation.  This event is really a lot of fun for us, as many of the participants stop and dance.  On Mother's Day we are doing the Pink Ribbon Run in Rochester and in the Fall we do another one (for cancer).  In between all that, we have a large variety of opportunities for participation.
If you ever have a chance to try drumming, give it a shot...you won't be sorry.

A picnic supper before chores.
The low 60s outside and 60 in the barn.  Great temperature for the girls.

Amazing what distortion does for your body.  I don't look anything like that.

Tucked in by 7:30.
Night all.

They do seem to be a classy outfit. Nice of them to fix everything. We do deserve so nice weather after our last winter. We had a gorgeous weekend and got a lot done with the horses. It just feels so good not to be freezing!

Glad you are receiving some great weather and equally as glad that the tree company fixed the septic problem they created!!!
