The Big Drop Has Started

Pretty soon I am going to refer to this area as the tundra.
Is was pretty ugly this morning but the temperature was near 30.
It dropped at least 15 degrees as the day went on and we accumulated about 3 inches of snow.

We were supposed to go out to lunch with Roger and Tina but it got postponed as the roads were snow covered.

Made some changes in the dining room and helped Gary pick up the tarps in the living room so he can Murphy Soap the floor.  He painted all day long.

Out to do chores at 5 and all the girls were in the pasture.  Sidney was in Gary's barn and joined me.  He was out there all day, when he could have been in the house.

Good night girls.....

Made a real dinner.  Korv (the Swedish sausage Gary and Randy made), mashed potatoes, peas and carrots and another Saint Tim salad (mixed greens, oranges, bananas, craisins and onions).  I'm finding out that women tend to go for fruit in salads a lot more than men.  No sense of adventure...
The living room should look a lot different later tonight.  I can't really switch the furniture around until the library is painted.  So for now, the denim couch and chair will go back where it came from.
I hope this cold snap disappears in the very near future.  The whole week looks nasty.
Night all.

Back down into the frozen wasteland we go. sigh. Thanks for the book suggestions, looks like it will be a good week to check them out.

Do keep warm. We are expecting snow again tonight.

Still mighty cold, the painting will have more progress as outside chores are suspended. Cheers from Jean.

Sounds like you're really getting the worst weather. Supposed to get 6 inches or so here tomorrow and temps around 17. So more fun for us too.

Bet you can't wait until the both rooms are painted and can relax in them again.

The news reports really do look nasty out at your end of the country. Here the lakes are drying up, the rivers are a trickle, the sun keeps shining and we can't get a drop of rain. Water is being rationed... I don't want your bitter cold but I sure would like some rain.

The winds have really been horrible here the past few days. Not much snow. Try and stay warm Lori! xo
