FARM NEWS...

Two words about the weather...HEAT & HUMIDITY!  In spite of it, I managed to pick and mow a couple of the paddocks.  The horses stayed in the run-in most of the day creating a big mess.  I could use a dump truck full of sawdust about now.  Ironically, there was half an inch of rain in Brockport, and we (3 miles away) got zip.  We could use some and it should happen tonight. There is a cloud cover now and the temperature is dropping so the horses are willing to venture out into the pasture.  This is the first year someone has done round bales on the land next to us...it is so classical looking to me.  Unfortunately, that hay got rained on several times after it was cut.

This morning Gary left for Jamestown to attend a Scandanavian Festival and I held down the fort.  So far I have not left the property.  This is not unusual for me and will happen more frequently with these gas prices.

My boy Josh has been out (along with Phoebe and Ice) to do both morning and evening chores.  His front right leg is really hurting...I think it is in the shoulder area.  Fortunately the fans have kept in comfortable all day as he lounged on his double decker bed or the couch.  By now you must have figured out that all our animals are pretty spoiled.
