Well...this was a different day. It had rained last night and was cold this morning.
We had a little sunshine...
and our first hibiscus blossom inside.
I did some laundry, changed sheets etc.......made a quick trip to Wegmans. Took a short nap and then a shower before putting the horses in for the night. It was raining and I did not want them standing in it for hours. They are not going to be happy, as they have been able to wander for months.
Tonight we went to a benefit concert presented by Indivisible on behalf of St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center in Rochester. A group of musicians got together (they are all in different bands) and picked a setlist full of songs with messages.
We had no clue our friend Tiffany was going to be there speaking on behalf of St. Jopseph's. She is the Director of Development and Communications. We have known her for over 25 years and she has been a close friend of Jenny's all this time.
Nancy should look familiar....I posted her picture for 6 years when we had our band....She Sings.
When they played "Soul Train" many people got up and moved!
The people in the audience were invited to sing and almost everyone knew the songs. It was really a nice feeling when you truly listened to the lyrics and what they meant then and now.
Here we are, living in a small Village where decent people were willing to get out to support democracy.
Night all.
