Back At It

This morning required masks and Swat.  It was sunny until late afternoon and the gnats were really bad.

I set  up hay nets in the run-in so they could catch a break from the bugs.

Around 10:30 I started mowing the lawn and went around outside of the pastures.

Finished a little after noon.
Gary went to yoga and lunch with his pals.  At 2 our friends Al and Brenda stopped up to check out the gardens and we sent them home with some rhubarb.  Al makes great pies!

After they left I took it easy for awhile, then started on dinner.
Chicken Helen....
potato salad...
and tomatoes with onions.
Tasted great.
Chores at 8:15.  By then, the gnats were even worse than they were this morning.

Night all.

Nice! Rhubarb is abundant here also.
The gnats are coming here too by this weekend. I may actually get some masks this year for the 3 mules once the horse has moved to her new home.
She tries to pull them off other animals.
I like summer but dislike fly season.

I think the gnats are the worst. The garden is beautiful.
