More snow last night with freezing rain this morning. Now the driveway is icy.
I put hay nets under the shed roof as it was still spritzy and the wind was kicking up.
The snow was very crusty and made a lot of noise when the horses walked on it. Buddy wanted to roll but I did not see him do it.
Sidney and Little Wonder are starting to become friends.
But as you can see...LW is a little worried.
Before noon it looked like there was a blizzard outside and the wind was going nuts, so I put the boys in their stalls. I had closed the front doors to the barn with about a 2 1/2 foot opening while I did the water. Buddy came out of his stall and went outside taking down the door on the left. That really ticked me off and I was ready to wring his neck. Managed to lean it up against the building and gave Gary the good news.
Putting it back up takes two people and I'm not supposed to lift anything heavy as my stitches were just taken out. At 5 I went out to reset the stalls and gave the boys a chance to move around. They were not interested.
I had told Jenny what happened and didn't she show up to help Gary put the door back on the track.
Yay! They were successful! So grateful as we are going to have some bad weather tonight.
I had a couple pieces of Naan bread left and made pizzas tonight.
Now I want to get back to the fire and watch the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live. My cousin, John Belushi was on that show for years and I sure wish he was around for this celebration.
Night all.

Looks miserable enough without any more. A heavy door even for two, how ever did Buddy manage that disaster.
Everyone well wrapped up with hood fur edging, just what is needed.
So Buddy has figured out how to open the door...watch out!
John Belushi your cousin! WOW!!!! I may be biased but the original cast members were the best.
Bad bad Buddy. I bet he didn't even care. 😉 Jen is a wonderful daughter and person.
Jen rocks helping out in such terrible weather. We watched SNL 50th special and it held our attention the whole 3 1/2 hrs. Loved seeing John in the spots and Eddie Murphy still makes me laugh out loud. A good diversion. Kathy
Buddy's stall gate was not latched as I was getting water. Had closed the front doors with about a 2 foot opening as the wind was so strong. Something spooked him and he ran through the doors to get outside.

Jenny to the rescue! It is marvelous that help is just a short distance away and so very willing to come!
As I learned while watching a show from the Taranga zoo (Sydney, AU), "prey species" always run when spooked. Rebel was running to safely and the door was a casualty of that inborn dash.
Ah, we have missed John for decades as you surely have, too. I agree, those in the photo were the best!
Hugs!
