Another Weather Transition

Last night the temperature kept rising and a lot of melting was going on (near 40).  Unfortunately it dropped this afternoon and we are now surrounded by ice skating rinks.

I had to do a lot of extra work in Buddy's stall as he had messed up a couple of his mats. They are so heavy!   Anyway, chores took me a lot longer and for the moment it's in better shape.
This spring I'm going to have to recruit my grandsons to help me redo both suites (mats).
By 10:41 I had put in 8,451 steps and right now (7:07pm) I'm at 11,006.  Going for a walk really bugs my hips, but all this puttering doing chores and shoveling adds up and I can survive it.
I had to take a shower before bridge and the crew kept me company.

I was at the library at 1.  Ended up in first place with my partner, Dave.  This is the third week in a row.  YaHoo!
Home around 4:30 and the temperature was in the 20s with very heavy winds.
When Gary brought out hot water for the stalls,  Buddy waited in the paddock for me and Rebel tucked himself in.

Pancakes (some with blueberries) for dinner.  Just right.
Night all.

Your energy to do all you do amazes me and am glad you can take care of Buddy and Rebel as well as Little Wonder and the lovely cats plus all the wonderful things you're involved in away from the farm. Hope you enjoy it all.
Our snow and ice finally melted today except for one little bitty blob of snow smaller than a golf ball. More rain is in the forecast for Saturday day and night. We've already had more than 4" of rain/snow/sleet since the beginning of the month. All is mud outdoors!

Hugs!

Ice and horses, a big nightmare. You and your partner are on a roll! I don't remember the last time I made pancakes.
