The planet is in deep dooo doooo.
A crispy morning, but tolerable because there was no wind. During the day it felt like -3 to -6.
We had 6 or 7 inches of new snow and it was still coming down at chore time.
I gave Buddy and Rebel extra hay and put it under the shed roof.
I had shoveled a path to the barn, and fortunately Gary got the snow blower going and did the entire driveway.
I did not watch the inauguration, but late afternoon started watching the news. Evil is on the way. Fortunately the sun came out and was brilliant all afternoon. It did not take the place of what was happening today. I will never understand how we got here and am in dire need of some options.
The temperature was dropping so I tucked the boys in a little early.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in friends who thought this was a happy day. Supporting someone who is a rapist, convicted felon, cheat, vindictive, who could care less about the environment and the average Joe (not to mention about 50 other things he has done). What happened to their values and integrity? How can they think this is ok? Is this the model they want for their children and grandchildren? Hate and retribution. So sad.

We in my house totally agree with you Lori. Awoke to news a professional scientist and committee members on a panel created cause of a crime the felon did previously and they had to be pardoned to spare what heartless con man could do. Welcome to Russia to all those who voted to live like this cause it will be them too who will face hardship. Kathy
I have no words other than I am horrified.
I stayed off line all day yesterday. I didn't even visit blogs because I knew I'd venture further than blogland if I went online. Have you read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich? I have, it's a tome, but the similarities are all there. Elon and his Nazi salute, not even pretending. In the past for years the evil one has gone psychotic, making him even more dangerous.
On a happier note, we were -20 F overnight. We are going to have a warmup after today.
We so agree with all here (so far!). I still wonder if the outcome was due to Russian tampering as Putin said later that it was. Am reminded of the book from high school: "Cry, the Beloved Country". May his evilness and that of those around him be stopped somehow and heaven help us all.
