What's Next?

Another gorgeous sunrise.

And a new blossom.

Still cold, but much milder than it has been.

After chores Gary went to Brockport for coffee and a paper and I got busy in the kitchen.  Had a cauliflower that needed some attention.
Turned it into a cheesy casserole for dinner.

Took it easy this afternoon by the fire and spent a lot of time on the phone with three friends.  I'm done. Anyone who thinks what Trump is doing is ok has lost my respect.  In just a few days he has proven his inhumanity by making changes that are hurting many.  He is like a wrecking ball.  Cancer research? FEMA, aid to other countries, criticizing a Bishop who wants mercy for all the fear that has been caused, firing hundreds unless they will do just as he says, pardoning criminals who are now getting together planning future "events" and 50 more things.  The only hostages are the elected officials in Washington who don't dare to cross him or they will face a primary.  Is this what you want?  Tip of the iceberg.  Take Greenland away from Denmark?  Do you agree with his cabinet choices?  One of my readers (maybe more) is very disappointed in my attitude toward the new President. I should excuse what he has done?  Would you care if he raped your wife or daughter?  Do you care if he is a convicted felon?  Do want him to tell you what you can and can't do?  Is retribution fine with you?  Should he make changes to Social Security and Medicare in a way that will impact you? Please explain to me what it is that you like about him.  Is it all about money?  Why can't people care about each other instead of spewing hate?  What is so bad about working together?  Our children and grandchildren are going to feel what is going on for decades.  And that ends my rant for today....  If this ticks you off, feel free to dump me.

Chores at 5:30.  At least there is peace in the barn.

Dinner was delicious.
Night all.

I will not dump you. I am in complete agreement with you! Cannot fathom how people can agree with him on any level. Find solace wherever you can, even if it’s just in the barn. We’ll do what we can with our votes, but the democratic elected officials need to step up! I’m trying to balance avoiding the news but not totally burying my head in the sand :(

Even from way down here in NZ, I definitely will not dump you Any one who cannot see what is happening or, worse still, will happen in the future should see asn eye specialist immediately. Blinkers will not work, Lori, your words are so true, and if others disagree, that is their problem and they will have many more. Love your photos today,Enjoy your ponies, the snow, yummy meals and a warm home.

Well it seems his plan of dividing the nation even more is working very well. People don't worry about it too much if they have money, good insurance, and can get by. Right? Once it hits them in their pocket book, it may be a different story.
The fact that my grand daughter will have less rights than I did as a young woman is concerning. With his 'new' orders, housing will get worse, medical care will get worse, groceries will become unaffordable to so many and the armed services will not become attractive to men and women.
But hey...if it doesn't affect 'me' right away...I am okay with it...right?

No. I have a heart and I feel for everyone. Black, brown, poor, and even those who are not poor.
He is stripping away the dignity of our country with his project.

Totally agree with your comments Lori and I’ll stick with you cause you have a wonderful character trait of caring for others which is evident in the peace of your barn and community. You haven’t made enemies, it’s the people who believe in this insanity created by one lunatic governed by another lunatic. Sad days for a country that will now thrive on drama cause he’ll always act like a celebrity first and before people he lies to. Kathy

Marcy, Nancy, Val and Kathy. Thank you for your supportive comments. What has happened to compassion for others?

Lori, no way I'd dump you, you speak my heart. I don't think the core group will ever acknowledge what they see. I don't have any of them in my life, thankfully. Cruelty has become the religion of these folks.

The Felon is also firing the translators for the deaf at meetings. Dark ages or impeachment pronto?

Hugs!

I have been reading your blog for some time, I totally agree with everything you said. I got a good laugh from "Felon 47". I am disappointed also, just like you, I did not see him getting reelected. I cringe when I hear his voice on TV, lucky for me I can turn my hearings aids down. What are we going to do? How to fight back? Right now, I don't know. I won't dump you! Julia in Nebraska
