Lunch With Carol and Topper

Yep!

Love cool mornings.

Buddy must have wanted a Spa Day.

(Sidney spends a lot of time in his hideout).

We planned on going to check on friends out at the lake after chores so I picked some carrots, beets and tomatoes to take with us.  Also....some flowers.

When we got to their home, Gary tried out a lift that goes to the upstairs and he must have enjoyed the ride!

Ended up having a Chinese lunch from a nearby restaurant.  Plenty of chatter and good food.  (That's why I am not making dinner tonight).

Little Wonder was with us and he loved all the treats Carol gave him.  She will be a friend for life.

The Lake was beautiful.

We left around 1:30.  LW sure loved riding in the car.

Fed the horses around 6:30.

Just caught some news....now Jimmy Kimmel is off the air.  More pressure.

The Farrier

I can't even count how many sunny days we have had in a row.  Except for 2 in the high 60s it's going to stay at 80 for at least a week.  It's a good thing the humidity is low.

Our farrier, Jessy, arrived at 9:30 and it did not take much time to trim both boys.

She does agility with a couple of her Corgis and Little Wonder knows she is a dog lover.

Gary has continued to work on the yard and gardens and I have not accomplished much.

We did have a picnic dinner.

Here is an easy recipe for you to try.  A friend (from Paris) was living in Brockport as her husband was a Professor at the college and she introduced me to this salad.

1 can of corn drained, chopped green pepper, chopped tomatoes, small pieces of Swiss cheese.

Salt, pepper and mix it with some homemade Russian dressing. (Mayo, Ketchup and relish).  Different and so good.

Chores at 7.  Buddy was waiting and Rebel was out of sight.

Got them tucked in and was back in the house before dark.
