So Much Going On Today

For one thing, the temperature reached 51 degrees.

Gary got up early and did the water for tonight. By the time I was finished there was some very good light in Rebel's stall.

Jenny arrived at 8:30 and they took off for Jamestown to do some "foodie" Christmas shopping.
Sid, Little Wonder and I held down the fort.
I took a quick shower before heading down to bridge and attempted to get a selfie done so I can send it to a friend.  Not very good at this.
When checking on some messages, I noticed one from an old friend that I grew up with as a kid.  She noticed the photos on one of the pictures I posted of the dining room and wanted a closer look.  So I took a bunch to send to her.  Here are a few....most of them oldies.

After bridge ( I had terrible cards again) I got back to the farm in time to get ready for evening chores
Dark again.

Got the boys tucked in.

Gary and Jenny got home before 5:30 and the car was loaded with bags and boxes.
First they went to Ecklofs Bakery....Jenny took some photos for me and below are some of the goodies they looked at or got.

This bakery is loaded with all things Swedish.

No pictures, but they did go to Peterson's Market and got some korv and sil.
Plus a couple other things.
While they were in Jamestown they looked for my Nanna's house and found it on Williams Street.  I lived with her when I was five and six years old.
They made another stop at Johnny's and bought 24 hot dogs with everything (outstanding Greek sauce) to go.

12 went to Jenny's and we kept 12.  Had some for dinner....yum.
They also stopped at my sister in law's house and dropped of an almond braid.
Then they went up to Mike and Barb's at the lake.

Out for a quick lunch before heading back home. A very full day!
We are so loaded with great Swedish stuff!
Night all.

On the Road With Little Wonder

Bam!  Brilliant sunrise (before 7am).

Much warmer this morning, but blowing like crazy much of the day.

I was getting hay for the boys in the stall where I store it and up popped Sidney.  He was snoozing in a box all cozy with a blanket. I'm glad he found it.
Last chance for LW to be in his old bed.  The stuffing has been coming out of the bottom....think I will try to sew it up and save it.

Gary ran a few errands (coffee) and when he got back to the farm Little Wonder and I went shopping for a bed at Country Max.  He wore his new sweater.
Took it easy this afternoon and at chore time it was so dark compared to yesterday when everything was pink.
Got the boys tucked in

and went down to the Indivisible end of the year pizza party.  Ironically, I sat next to a woman who worked with Gary when he was a DJ at WGMC (Jazz Station) over 25 years ago.  Connections!
Everyone brought something they wanted to unload and anyone could take whatever they wanted....whatever was left was going to be taken to Lifetime Solutions in Hamlin.  I got a beautiful black bag, candles, a t-neck and an LL Bean sweater.
By the end of the evening they had all kinds of bags and boxes ready to go.
I had also brought a tote and a bag full of clothes that Linda could take to Rochester for some homeless people.  It was a nice evening and so much fun to talk to new people.  Is there an Indivisible Group where you live?  These people do so much more than fighting for democracy.  They address all kinds of issues in this area and help so many with different needs.
And here he is.  LW seems to like his new bed.
Night all.
