We had a major cool down and the high for today was around 60 degrees. I iced Rebel's leg for a few minutes before turnout and he seemed pretty good.
He and Buddy were locked out of the front paddock as we had a hay delivery this morning around 9.
Gary was thrilled as usual, but Scott and Jenny were here so it was all done in about 15 minutes. Dave will hold my last truckload til spring and that way I won't have to put any upstairs. Right now it's in two stalls and the feed room.
After that was done, Jenny helped Gary clean up the debris from the studio wall project.
We had leftover chili so I decided to make rice and beans for lunch and it would be our dinner. The lettuce and tomatoes came from our garden.
I don't know what it's like where you live, but over the past week the color of our leaves changed and they are falling to the ground like crazy.
Gary spent the afternoon painting as the sun appeared. What a difference.
Chores at 6:30. Took out an ice bag, but did not use it. Hopefully Rebel is not going to need it.
Buddy is so sweet....when he hears the gate open he comes over to greet me.
Here's how Rebel looks tonight.
Not 100% but so much better.
Leftover chicken soup for dinner. Little Wonder and Seymour loved having a little bit too.
Night all.

Many leaves have come down here also and it seems that some of the trees haven't even changed color so it is sort of strange.
We are headed downward in temps which seems to be a shock! One week it is 90 and then next week it is 50!
I'll get used to it.
Sounds like you are feeling better along with Rebel!
Rebel is so much better! What a relief for you. We stayed in the mid-forties yesterday, to day will be upper-fifties. Lots of leaves have dropped in the past few days but I think that is mostly due to three days of high wind. Your soup noodles look delicious!
How much do you pay for a bale of hay? This year our goat hay was $260 a round.
Gayle, I do not buy rounds. I buy 2nd cutting grass and the range has been from $4-$4.50 per bale (it is green and beautiful) plus a $20 delivery charge. Best price in years....the guy lives right around the corner and he even helps stack it. Fortunately our daughter and boyfriend have helped us stacking....grandsons too if they are home from college.
