Still cool and damp. Rebel lost his boot last night, so after breakfast I let him go out to graze for awhile before setting him up all over again.
He did not want me to catch him and was moving pretty well.
I got everything set up in advance in the grooming room.
Groomed Buddy first while Rebel was getting his right foot soaked....just for a short time.
I decided to put boots on both front feet. Sole pack first, then a diaper, then the duct tape. I might as well protect him until the soft ride boots arrive from Kentucky.
By the time I finished, had been out there for 3 hours. My friend Jean (from Missouri) arrived at 11:30 and we went out to lunch. No uke playing today.
Can't believe how this hibiscus plant is doing!
Started a fire when we got back to the farm. Gary had already gone to Yoga and out to lunch. Late after noon Carol and Topper arrived to drop off crutches and a walker we had loaned her after her knee surgery. Tea time.
Chores at 6. No cooking dinner, since we both went out to lunch.
Rebel was still moving pretty well.
Night all.

Good for you and Rebel. Why does his foot still need soaking? Wouldn't that keep his sole soft?
I've done the diaper and duct tape for one of our mules last year and it really helped her when she was lame [she had a different issue than Rebel's though].
I suppose Rebel is tired of all the extra attention!
:)
Life will become easier once the boots arrive. The hibiscus is gorgeous!
